Volunteer Management

The Volunteer Management section of the Admin page is where you configure the building blocks used across Volunteer Management — the master lists and settings that volunteer records, jobs, and the portal rely on. From the Admin page, scroll to the Volunteer Management section.

What you can configure

  • Tags — the master list of volunteer tags for labeling and segmenting volunteers.
  • Skills — the master list of skills you can assign to volunteers and require on jobs.
  • Requirements — define requirements (training, certifications, background checks, etc.) with custom form fields, expiration rules, and auto-assignment.
  • Job Groups — the groups used to organize volunteer jobs.
  • Job Setup Wizard — bulk-create volunteer jobs (for example, route and kitchen jobs).
  • Portal Settings — configure the Volunteer Portal's appearance and behavior.
  • Committed Shifts — view and manage committed-shift (shift history) records.
  • Email Opt-In — record bulk email consent for volunteers.
  • SMS Opt-In Invitations (when SMS is enabled) — send opt-in invitations to volunteers in bulk.
  • SMS Policy Settings (when SMS is enabled) — configure the SMS policy for volunteer messaging.
The master lists you manage here (Tags, Skills, Requirements, Job Groups) are the options that then appear when you edit volunteers and set up jobs.
