SMS Policy Settings
(Available when SMS is enabled.) Set up your organization's SMS Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. These are required for SMS (A2P) compliance — a link to them is included with the first message each recipient receives.
Opening the SMS Policy Settings page
Go to the Admin page.
In the Volunteer Management section, click SMS Policy Settings .
Configuring your SMS policies
Policy Hosting — choose where your policies live:
- Stored in Orchard Stack — Keep the policy text here; it's served at /sms-terms . Recommended language is pre-filled in the SMS Terms of Service and SMS Privacy Policy text boxes for you to edit.
- External URL — Host the policies on your own website and provide the SMS Terms of Service URL and SMS Privacy Policy URL .
Click Save Settings to save your choices.
Adoption (stored policies only) — Before the public /sms-terms page goes live, you must formally adopt the policies. After saving your text, click Record Adoption to confirm your organization adopts them. The page shows whether the policies have been adopted, and by whom.
These are legal documents — review them (with legal counsel if needed) before adopting.
