SMS Opt-In Invitations
(Available when SMS is enabled.) Send SMS opt-in invitation texts in bulk to volunteers who haven't consented to texts. This is a double opt-in — each volunteer receives a text and must reply YES to be opted in; it doesn't opt them in directly.
Opening the SMS Opt-In Invitations page
Go to the Admin page.
In the Volunteer Management section, click SMS Opt-In Invitations .
Sending invitations
The page lists eligible volunteers — active or prospective, with a mobile number, who haven't consented and haven't already been sent a bulk invitation. Each row shows Name, Phone 1, Phone 2, Mobile Phone to Use (the number the text goes to), and SMS Status (Never Consented or Pending).
Check the volunteers to invite (use Select All for everyone).
Click Send Opt-In SMS to Selected and confirm.
The invitations are sent in the background, and the volunteers move to Pending until they reply YES (replying STOP opts out). A bulk invitation can only be sent once per volunteer, so invited volunteers drop off the list.
