The page in the Volunteer Portal lets volunteers control how they hear from their organization — by email and text (SMS) — and which notifications they receive.
Volunteers can or of email — opting in requires agreeing to a consent checkbox. When opted in, per-notification toggles let them choose which emails they receive; stores the changes. If a previous email bounced, the page shows that status so they can re-enroll.
(Shown when SMS is enabled.) To opt in, a volunteer enters their phone number and agrees to the consent message; a confirmation text is sent and they reply to finish (the status shows until then). Once opted in, they can choose which texts to receive, change their number (which requires opting in again on the new number), or opt out — they can also reply to any message to opt out.
