Assign and Track Requirements

Track the certifications, training, waivers, and other requirements a volunteer must meet, and record their completions. Requirements are defined organization-wide and either apply to everyone automatically or are assigned to individual volunteers.

Opening the volunteer's Requirements page

To open the Requirements page:
    On the Volunteers page, click the Volunteers tab.
    Click the volunteer's name to open their profile.
    Click the Requirements tab.

Reviewing requirements

The table lists each applicable requirement with its Status, Completion Date, and Expiration Date. Statuses:
  • Complete — met and approved (or no review needed).
  • Pending Review — submitted by the volunteer, awaiting staff approval.
  • Rejected — staff declined the submission.
  • Expiring Soon — expires within 30 days.
  • Expired — past its expiration date.
  • Not Started — nothing recorded yet.

Recording and managing requirements

  • Add Completion — record that a requirement is met: set a completion date, an optional expiration date, notes, and an optional file. (Expiration can auto-calculate from the requirement's timespan, e.g., 1 year.)
  • Assign Requirement — apply a non-automatic requirement to this volunteer.
  • Per requirement, use the row actions to Review a pending submission (approve or reject), Edit or Delete a completion, view History of past completions, or Unassign an individually assigned requirement.
Requirements themselves are created and configured in the Administration area.
