View Volunteer Activity and SMS Log

Review a history of what's happened on a volunteer's record. The Log dropdown has two read-only views: Activity (all changes and actions) and SMS (a full text-message history).

Opening the Log

    On the Volunteers page, click the Volunteers tab.
    Click the volunteer's name to open their profile.
    Click the Log dropdown, then Activity or SMS .

Activity log

A chronological list (newest first) of actions taken on the volunteer's record. Each entry shows the Date, the User who performed it, and an Action describing what changed. Where field-level changes were recorded, a View changes link opens a breakdown of the Field, Old Value, and New Value.
Logged events include things like profile edits, status changes, schedule and shift assignments, time off, requirement completions, notes and files, portal-access changes, and email/SMS consent changes.

SMS log

(Shown when SMS is enabled.) A read-only audit trail of every text message to and from the volunteer, newest first. Each row shows:
  • Date — when the message was sent or received.
  • DirectionIn (from the volunteer) or Out (to the volunteer).
  • Body — the message text, with a label for its type or processing status (e.g., Notification, Auto-Reply, Direct, Received).
  • Status — the carrier delivery status (e.g., delivered, failed).
Unlike the Conversations tab, which is for actively sending and replying to messages, the SMS log is a complete historical record for auditing and troubleshooting.
