Edit Groups

Add a volunteer to groups to organize and segment your volunteers — useful for filtering and communications. A volunteer can belong to multiple groups.

Opening the volunteer's Groups page

To open the Groups page:
    On the Volunteers page, click the Volunteers tab.
    Click the volunteer's name to open their profile.
Click the Edit dropdown, then Groups.

Assigning groups

  • Assign an existing group — pick a group from the dropdown, then click Save (or Save and add another to keep adding). The dropdown lists only groups not already assigned to this volunteer.
  • Create a new group — type a name and click Create and Assign to create the group and add it to this volunteer in one step.
  • Assigned groups appear in a list; click Remove next to one to take it away (with confirmation).
The master list of groups is maintained under Administration → Volunteer Groups.
