Place a hold to cancel the job for a specific date or date range without changing the underlying schedule — useful for holidays or one-off closures. You set a start date and a resume date; shifts in that window are skipped and unassigned, then resume automatically afterward. Each hold records the date(s), a reason, and who created it, and can be removed later.
To open the form:
On the page, click the tab
then click the button on the right-hand side of the job for which you want to view/edit settings.
Click the tab.
- (required) — the first date the job is cancelled.
- (required) — the date the job runs again. This date is held; shifts resume on it. Must be after the start date.
- (optional) — a short note for why (e.g., "Volunteer vacation").
Click to apply. Only the job's scheduled occurrences within the range are cancelled, and any volunteers already on those shifts are unassigned — you'll see a confirmation with how many shifts were cancelled.
Holds appear in a list below the form — one row per held date — showing , , and . Click on a row to lift the hold for that date; the shift is re-created and schedule volunteers are re-matched.
