The meal calendar is where your planning comes together — it shows what's assigned to each day. You can view it a day, a week, or a month at a time. This article covers working with the calendar after your initial setup is complete.
Day view (the default)
The Day tab is the landing screen. It shows one day at a time, with Prev, Today, and Next controls and a date picker to jump to any date.
Meals table (in meals/dishes modes) — columns for Product , Meal , Containing Substitutions , and Total . Click a row to see the clients receiving that meal.
Dietary Needs table — columns for Dietary Need , Action , # Clients , and # Meals . Click a row to see the clients with that need.
From the Day view you can open the Ingredients Report and Dietary Needs Report (see Menu Reports), and edit the day.
The Edit day assignments button (meals/dishes modes) and Assign dietary needs button (day mode) appear only while a day is still open — once a day has been committed to delivery, its assignments are locked.
Week view
The Week tab shows a whole week at once — 5 or 7 days, depending on your Calendar week length setting — with Prev, This Week, and Next controls. Each day shows its meals or dietary needs with links to edit or run reports. If you use a recurring schedule, a badge shows which week of the cycle you're viewing.
Month view
The Month tab shows a full-month grid. Today is highlighted and days outside the month are greyed out. Click any day to open it. With a recurring schedule, each week shows a Cycle Week badge.
Editing a day's assignments
Meals / Meals with dishes modes — on a day, click Edit day assignments to open a per-product table. Pick a meal for each product, or leave a product blank to skip it that day, then Save .
Dietary needs by day mode — click Assign dietary needs to add or remove dietary needs for the day, choosing each one's action ( Substitute Meal or Alert / Omit ).
Overrides (exceptions)
Changing a single day this way creates an override of your normal schedule — useful for holidays or special occasions like Fish Fridays or Thanksgiving. You can also cancel a product's meal for the day. To restore the standard schedule, delete the override.
Recurring schedule
If you use a repeating rotation, the Recurring Schedule tab edits the template that drives every future date. The number of weeks in the rotation is set by Weeks in schedule in Menu Management Settings.
Reducing Weeks in schedule may delete meal assignments for weeks beyond the new count. The system asks for confirmation before making the change.
