Editing, Deleting, and Cancelling, and Deliveries

From the Deliveries page you can cancel a whole day's deliveries before they're committed and, after a day is committed, edit or delete individual delivery records via Edit Deliveries.
The Edit Deliveries function is a great way to browse deliveries by route for editing. When working with a delivery for an individual client, the delivery can also be edited from the Deliveries tab on the client record.
This page assumes deliveries for the day have already been committed where noted. For the commit step itself, see  Committing Deliveries .

Editing Deliveries After Committing

Once a day is committed, the green Edit Deliveries button replaces the Commit and Cancel buttons.
    Click Edit Deliveries to open that day's delivery records.
    To narrow the list, click Edit by Zone or Edit by Route and choose a zone or route. Use Back to return.

Edit a Delivery

Click Edit next to a delivery record to change its details, then save.

Delete a Delivery

  • Click Delete next to a record. When prompted — Are you sure you want to delete this delivery? — click Yes, I'm sure.
  • To remove every delivery for the day, click Delete All and then confirm — Are you sure you want to delete all deliveries for this date? — with Yes, I'm sure.
Deliveries that have already been billed or invoiced cannot be edited or deleted — those buttons will be greyed out.

Cancelling a Day's Deliveries

Use Cancel Deliveries when no deliveries will go out for a day at all — for example, an unscheduled closure such as a snow day or emergency. It records the day as having no deliveries, so nothing is delivered or billed for that date.
    At the bottom left, click Cancel Deliveries in the Actions box. It sits alongside Commit Deliveries.
    When prompted — Are you sure you want to cancel all deliveries for this date? — click Yes, I'm sure. (Or click No, don't cancel deliveries to back out.)
Cancel Deliveries applies to the entire day. It's available only before a day is committed. Once a day is committed, the Edit Deliveries button appears in its place instead.
