Setting Up Your New Sign-In

Orchard Stack is moving to a new sign-in system that gives you a faster, more secure login — with support for multi-factor authentication, passkeys, and features currently in development. This guide explains what's changing and walks you through setting up your new sign-in.
There's nothing you need to do in advance. You'll keep signing in exactly as you do today until your organization's migration date, and we'll email you when it's time to set up your new sign-in.

 What's changing

  • A modern, more secure login experience.
  • New sign-in options, including passkeys and multi-factor authentication (MFA) .
  • A one-time setup step to create your sign-in for the new system.
Your data, account, and everything you do in Orchard Stack stay exactly the same — only the way you sign in is changing.

📅 What to expect

You'll receive two emails around your organization's migration date:
    Advance notice — a heads-up a few days before, letting you know the date your sign-in will move. No action needed yet.
    Invitation — sent on the migration date, with the subject "Set up your new sign-in." This is the email that lets you complete your one-time setup.
Keep signing in with your current account as you normally do, right up until the migration date. After the migration, you'll need to complete the one-time setup below before you can sign in again — so watch for the invitation email.

🔑 Setting up your new sign-in

When you receive the "Set up your new sign-in" invitation email:
    Open the email and click Set Up My Account .
    Create a password for your account.
    If your organization requires it, set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) by following the on-screen prompts.
    (Optional) Add a passkey for an even faster, password-free sign-in next time.
    That's it — your account is ready. Sign in as you normally would going forward.
The setup link in your invitation email is time-limited. If it has expired by the time you open it, contact us and we'll send a fresh invitation.

👤 After setup

Once your new sign-in is set up, you'll sign in to Orchard Stack at your usual address and continue working as normal.
You can manage your password, review active sessions, and configure multi-factor authentication anytime from the User Menu → My Account in the top-right corner. See  Navigating Orchard Stack  for a tour of the interface.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

  • I didn't get the invitation email. Check your spam or junk folder. If it's not there, contact us and we'll resend it.
  • The setup link expired. Reach out and we'll send a new invitation.
  • My email address is wrong or has changed. Contact us so we can update your account and reissue the invitation.
