July 2026 Release Notes
This release introduces new accounting capabilities, expanded customization options, and several enhancements to client management and reporting.
Delivery History Editing for Invoiced Periods
Managing corrections after invoices have been generated is now much more flexible.
You can now edit a client’s delivery history after the delivery has been invoiced. When making changes to an invoiced delivery, Orchard Stack will present several accounting options:
- Update the existing invoice to reflect the delivery change
- Create a credit or debit adjustment that will appear on the client’s next invoice
- Edit the delivery without making an accounting change
Because these options are now available, delivery records for previously invoiced periods are no longer locked for editing.

Client Deposit Management
Orchard Stack now supports tracking client deposits.
Client deposits can be recorded and applied as needed, making it easier to manage prepayments and client account balances directly within Orchard Stack.
Rich Text Formatting for Instructions
The following fields now support rich text formatting:
- Delivery Instructions
- Kitchen Instructions
- Meal Label Notes
You can now use formatting such as bold text, text colors, highlighting, and other styling options to draw attention to important information on reports and meal labels.
This makes it easier for kitchen staff and delivery drivers to quickly identify special instructions.
Improved Diet Information on the Order Page
We’ve refined the layout of dietary information displayed on the client Order page.
Multi-Day Client Delivery Specials
Creating temporary delivery changes is now faster than ever.
You can now create Delivery Specials for multiple days at once, eliminating the need to enter each day individually.
Bulk Specials Based on Another Delivery Day
Planning ahead for holiday schedules is now much easier.
Bulk Delivery Specials can now be generated based on what clients would normally receive on a different delivery day.
For example, if your organization is closed on Friday, July 4, you can create a bulk special for Thursday, July 3 that deliver the meals (or a subset of meals) that clients would normally receive on Friday.
Expanded Client Demographic Fields
The Client Fields Library has been expanded with additional optional demographic and household fields, including:
- Additional income and poverty tracking options
- Detailed marital status
- Veteran status
- Additional household condition fields
Reporting Improvements
We’ve made several improvements to reporting throughout Orchard Stack including improved options for reporting on discounted sales and fixes related to reporting on manually created delivery history records.
Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements
In addition to the features above, this release includes a variety of bug fixes and performance improvements to enhance the overall reliability of Orchard Stack.
