When the jobs are complete, committing the day finalizes and saves every shift on the Day board. Committing moves each shift from a live assignment to a permanent Shift History record, where hours are finalized, no-shows are tracked, and the data is available for reporting.

Use Commit Shifts to save shift history
To commit a shift to a permanent Shift History record:
Open the Day tab for the date you want to commit (typically today, but it could be a previous day).
Click Commit Shifts at the top right.
The button changes to a confirmation: Commit shifts? Click Yes, Commit (or Cancel to back out).
After commit, the board switches to Committed mode for that date.
Note that there is a scheduled nightly task that auto-commits the previous day's shifts if they weren't already committed manually.
Editing a committed day's record
On a committed date the table shows the resulting Shift History records with extra columns for Hours, Mileage, and Status. You can narrow the list with the Status dropdown to show only Attended (green), No Show (red) shifts, or unassigned shifts (gray).

Click the Edit button (pencil with notepad icon on the right-hand side of a record) to modify a record:
Edit hours and mileage in place.
Check the No Show box to mark a no-show, or leave it unchecked to keep the shift as attended.
